*Title: *MySQL DBA *Location: *Austin, TX *Duration: *6-18 months *Skills* • Experience with database administration of MySQL 5.1-5.6 databases and PostgreSQL 8.4-9.3 databases. • Experience using and performing basic administration tasks on Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, or Scientific Linux experience a plus). • Experience tuning and troubleshooting MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. • Experience backing up MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, with both physical and logical backups. • Familiarity with MySQL storage engines, including InnoDB and MyISAM. • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL replication would be very helpful. • Experience with SQL and writing SQL statements, including MySQL and PostgreSQL specific extensions, would be very helpful. • Experience with database design would be helpful. • Familiarity with Perl would be helpful. *Qualifications* • 3 years database administration experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL. • Strong written and verbal communication. • Capable of working independently. • Willingness to drive process improvement and provide feedback and suggestions. • Experience in a design engineering environment a plus. • Expert level technical professional and technical authority within organization. • Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams.
