Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 10+ Months

*Required Skills:*
This is a position for a dynamic, hands on technologist familiar with ITIL
concepts in support of an active user community using SCCD to support
Service Requests, Incidents, Problem and Change Management in the
Information Technology Division and beyond.
Candidate must have demonstrated current knowledge of the IBM Tivoli
Service Request Management and IBM SCCD application package.
Candidate must have worked in a role with significant responsibility for
some part of the TSRM/SCCD product set.
Knowledge of the IBM Process Engine for deployment and general web
architectures and deployment procedures is highly desirable.
A technical background with professional experience or course work using
SQL, Java or other programming languages, graphical user interfaces is
presumed.



*Responsibilities: *



The Smart Cloud Control Desk Administrator supports the SCCD application
known at the Commonwealth as COMiT

1) Installing and maintaining the SCCD software from IBM including new
releases and patch fixes
2) Researching and implementing requests for improvements that involve
updating or creating Workflows, Escalations and Job Plans
3) Researching and implementing requests for improvements that involve
using Application Designer and Database Configuration Manager
4) Researching and correcting performance issues
5) Researching and implementing inbound and outbound data feeds using the
Integration Framework within SCCD
6) Mentoring Enterprise Tools staff on the use of SCCD Administrative
procedures


*The SCCD Administrator reports to the Director of Integration Services.
Their time is spent on the following major functions*:

1) Day to day duties include the responsibility for guiding the maintenance
and upgrade of the SCCD application including:
a. Security design and administration
b. Workflows
c. Escalations
d. Classifications
e. Asset Management
f. Database configuration
g. Production support
h. Performance tuning
i. Problem diagnosis and resolution
j. Other work as necessary

2) The SCCD Administrator supports the adoption of ITIL and Agile processes
through the effective use of the SCCD and other applications:
a. Change Management procedures
b. Problem Management procedures
c. Incident Management Procedures
