*Position: Project manager* *Location: irvine orange county california* *Duration: 12 months* *Rate around 55/hr or more on this for qualified consultants * *Project Management - Job Description:* Leads the planning stage of complex projects and creation of appropriate deliverables such as work plans, scope, cost estimates, resource plans and governance structure Manages multiple projects concurrently, varying in size and scope Establishes effective governance for programs and/or projects by ensuring accountability of key stakeholders and the project team Identifies resources required to fulfill project objectives, determining mix of appropriate internal and external sources Drives the successful execution of assigned projects to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers (i.e. time, budget, resources, scope) Creates and manages project documentation, coordination of communication, and requirement gathering Actively manages project dependencies and cross-project dependencies, including conflicting priorities Exercises good judgment regarding when and how to escalate issues Effectively manages project teams in a matrix environment Coaches and mentors team members; provides guidance and leadership to project analysts and senior project analysts Communicates effectively and provides clear direction and guidance to the team Manages delivery of project deliverables Monitors project progress against project plan and baselines to effectively manage the timeline and budget Assesses organizational impacts and develops strategies to navigate the organization through the change Designs and implements change management plans such as communications, training and marketing *Hiring Criteria* Professional Qualifications / Functional & Personal Skills: 5-7+ years of formal project management experience in managing complex cross-functional projects. Experience at a management consulting firm, with a focus in business strategy or operational improvement, or project management at a financial services firm Strong strategic or operational project delivery experience (business strategy, process improvement, change management, etc.) Strong knowledge of the finance and/or HR function, ideally in global environment.
