*Location: Hartford, CT/Blue Bell, PA Duration: 3- 6 months Contract* *Experience/ Skills:* § Java/XML/Webservices and Hadoop framework § At least 8 years of experience with DW/BI and related tools, understanding of HADOOP Framework, Marklogic AND/OR combined skills on NoSQL, Java, XML and Big data development § At least 8 years of experience in Software development life cycle § At least 3 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks § At least 3 years of experience in Design and Architecture review § At least 7 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects § At least 2 years of experience in DW/BI related technologies and HADOOP Framework and Marklogic – MUST or combined skills on NoSQL, Java, XML and Big data development a MUST § At least 2 years of hands on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in HADOOP Framework Projects *Job Description:* In the role of *Application Architect*, you will perform the following functions – · Candidate must have proven experience in the architecture beyond lead design duties with thorough understanding of application architectural componentization. · Candidate must demonstrate a deep knowledge of architecture principles and describe the employment of those on several projects. · A clear and complete understanding of the difference and delineation between architecture and high level design is required. · Architecture experience required should be heavily based in DATA WAREHOUSE and BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE implementations. Demonstrated architecture experience with NoSQL and Marklogic is required including familiarity with Hadoop and Big Data architecture. · Experience with LARGE DATABASES is a plus. Knowledge of UML or similar modeling language is required. · Understanding of INFORMATION DELIVERY and ETL applications and tools is preferred. Proven project experience and ability to lead a group through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects, Business and other project constituents. Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition. · Strong business and technology decision making skills are required. Candidate must have prior experience in a technical leadership role. · Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong leadership skills to effectively influence decisions and positively impact progress are required *Qualifications* *Basic* • Education and Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider threeyears of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education • At least of 10 years of experience in application architecture methodologies. • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques. • Familiarity with business intelligence, data warehousing design techniques, and dimensional modeling. • Experience working with large and complex database systems and demonstrated knowledge of data integration, mapping and conformance conceptually. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as strong collaboration/influencing ability. • Knowledge of Healthcare, Insurance, and/or Financial services industry. *Preferred* • Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
