*Title:* Documentum Developer/Architect *Location:* Pleasanton or Vacaville (Preferred) *Type of position:* Contract 6 months min… usually several years. *Number of Positions:* 1 *Description:* Consultant resource will work with State Fund team to implement a new Documentum 7.x environment and migrate existing 6.x environments to it. They will also assist with day to day operations and training of new staff in EMC Documentum technologies. *Responsibilities: * The tasks for the Documentum Lead Architect include, but are not limited to, the following: • Lead other software engineers to design and implement well-integrated products • Define and evolve the architecture for the system. • Expert in all technical aspects of the product • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies based on product needs and industry trends • Develop creative solutions and write technical design & architecture documents • Provide work estimates for proposed projects • Cross-train developers on product features that are implemented • Constantly look for better processes for projecting and improving project profitability • Perform hands-on software design and development in Java • Develop and execute unit tests for product components • Establish architectural standards and best practices • Encourage innovation of process and creative development methodologies • Work closely with management to determine feasibility of product features • Establish standards and Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback • Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects *Technical Skills and Experience:* - BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree - 7-10+ years of Documentum experience - 3+ years of proven technical lead and architect experience. - Extensive experience with Documentum 6.5, 6.6, 6.7 and 7.x - Experience with migrating from Documentum 6.x to 7.x platforms - Experience with D2, Transformation services, Brava, Web Services, RPSA, Content Services, WebTop 6.x - Development experience in an enterprise-class system with multi-tier architecture - Must have JEE 6 experience, including JPA, JSF, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JMS - Broad experience with various java development frameworks. - Broad experience with various J2EE containers such as JBOSS, Tomcat, Websphere etc. - Expert in J2EE APIs including EJBs, Servlets, JTA, JSPs, JSTL, web services and JDBC - Expert in implementing successful distributed, scalable, high-performance multi-threaded server applications - Expert with Design patterns, SOA design & development - Strong experience in developing for high-availability clustered environments - Working knowledge of Linux and Windows - Strong speaking and writing skills - Comfortable working in a flexible Agile development environment *The following skills are also highly preferable:* - Experience with open source Java technologies including Ant, Jenkins, Maven. - Experience with SQL programming. - Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Rules Management (BRM) experience *Email is the best way to reach me.* [image: signature-logo (2)] ISO 9001:2008 Certified WMBE Firm 1441 E.
