*Title: Packaging QA Analyst*

*Location: Pittsburgh, PA*

*Duration: 7 months*



*Description:*



The analyst in this QA role will be a member of a team that develops
application packages for SCCM deployment, although programming / package
development skills are not required for this position.  The QA Analyst’s
responsibilities will be to help facilitate the flow of customer package
requests, reach out to end-users to obtain installation instructions and
media, perform the first QA installation check of new packages, allocate
virtual PCs to customers for testing, and obtain customer sign-off for
deployment.  Additionally, the QA Analyst will track and monitor metrics,
work with packagers to ensure SLAs are met, and update dashboard reports
and charts.



*Primary Responsibilities:*

·         Run newly developed application packages on test PCs to verify
installation success or failure.  Send errors to packager for further
analysis.

·         Assign Virtual PCs to customers for package testing & verification

·         Monitor in-progress workflow requests to ensure SLAs are met and
customers remain informed of progress

·         Review new application packaging requests for completeness

o   Media, Instructions, Corporate Approvals, SLA Due Dates, etc.

·         Obtain customer sign-off of completed packages

·         Coordinate software deployment efforts with packagers & other
internal deployment teams

·         Create and maintain process documentation

·         Develop, gather, and monitor process metrics

·         Other duties as assigned



*Required Tools/Knowledge:*

·         Windows 7 Enterprise

·         Microsoft Office 2013 w/advanced Excel skills (Charts,
PivotTables, VLOOKUPS, etc.)

·         Microsoft Visio 2013

·         Knowledge of corporate ticketing/request systems

·         General knowledge of Windows application installations

·         General Knowledge of Corporate Applications:  Microsoft Office
Suite, Adobe Products, Policy-Controlled Internet Browsers (IE11, Chrome,
Firefox), SharePoint

·         General Networking Knowledge:  DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing

·         Good organization and time management skills



*Experience:*

·         5+ years supporting Windows PCs in a corporate environment

·         3 years with Windows application installations and troubleshooting
