Work Location: Waterloo, WI Duration : Six months plus *The Manager is looking at C# .net 4.5, WinForms, WCF, ASP.Net WebForm, “Localization globalization” Cloud Azure , AWS (Must)* The Ascend RMS Team is hiring a Software Engineer with expertise in Microsoft .NET application development. Ascend RMS is a complex, multi-tier application providing a retail management solution to independent bicycle dealers. This position reports to the Ascend RMS manager of Software Development and provides expertise in developing, designing, enhancing, and maintaining applications. The position is focused, but not limited to, developing software for Microsoft .NET Web Applications using ASP.NET MVC deployed to Windows Azure Services. The successful Software Engineer will: o Design, code, create test plans, test, debug and document applications o Communicate face-to-face with their peers and customers in a participatory environment o Ensure architectural, business, coding, design, and quality standards are adhered to o Be responsible for the quality and timeliness of their own work o Stay current with the latest technologies, methods and tools o Be self-motivated and require minimal supervision Qualifications: o Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent experience required o 3-5 years of related experience required o Expertise with .NET in C#, OOP design patterns, Source Control and Unit Testing is required o Experience with Windows Azure, ASP.NET MVC, and ORM tooling required o Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2+ and/or Azure SQL Database, SQL queries, stored procedures, and basic administration required o Exceptional business and technical listening, oral, and written skills required o In-Depth understanding of Software Development/Engineering Methodology in Development, Production, and Testing Environments with Standards Documentation required o Experience with Point of Sale (POS) Systems and retail sales environment a plus Experience with the Agile Development methodology is a plus.
