Duration: 10+ months of Contract Initially Statement of Work: *Position Responsibilities:* · Responsibilities include overall Maintenance Engineering for the life-cycle management of In-Home Network products and technology. This includes support for development integration, integration and test, vendor management, network deployment and field support. · The position responsibilities include: · Lead the technical integration of numerous vendor platforms in a lab environment. Plan and implement the test lab build-out and provide guidance and support for production. · Oversee testing activities, including development of technical test requirements, test plans, test execution, test exit reports, defect tracking and troubleshooting/triaging interoperability issues. · Work directly with test teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and overall functioning of the solution in the lab and production environments. · Provide technical leadership with Verizon team(s) and external vendor(s). Contribute to the development of new processes, techniques, and determine implementation details of applicable standards. · Lead project team and provide project management functions. Manage overall project schedule, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop plans/schedules. · Accountable for project or program results. Exercises considerable judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving end results. · Work is varied within a sometimes ambiguous environment. Work requires constant interpretation. Solves a wide range of complex problems. Provides solution to technical issues that have project-wide and revenue impact. *Required Skills & Experience:* · BS degree in a technical field - preferably in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. · Expert level knowledge and experience with Wi-Fi technologies. · CWMP Certifications: Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP) or Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) · Expert level knowledge and experience with spectrum analyzers, network/protocol/packet analyzer and performance tools. Keywords: Wireshark, AirMagnet, ComProbe, Veriwave, Kismet, Wi-Spy, inSSIDer · 5 years minimum experience with Wi-Fi, home networking and embedded systems specifically related to In-home networking technologies (home routers, digital media devices, 802.11b/g/n/a/ac wireless devices, etc.). · 5 years hands-on experience with the TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, IPv6, TCP, UDP) · 3 years experience with Linux, Windows, software architecture and programming (scripting and automation) · 5 years experience effectively preparing and documenting interface specifications, test plans, and test reports. · Ability to work effectively in large cross-functional teams, with vendors/suppliers, and contractors. · Strong verbal and written communications skills *Desired Skills & Experience:* · MS degree in a technical field -preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. · Experience with Quality of Service (QoS) (VLAN priority, TOS, DSCP) · Multicast (IGMP) · Network Security · Digital Rights Management (DRM) · Multimedia over Coax (MoCA), video compression (Digital Video Systems, Video Compression Technology, MPEG, AVC/H.264) · Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, MPEG analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF signal meters, etc. *Instructions for Staffing Agency: * · 5 years experience in at least two of the technical areas under the “desired skills & experience” section.
