Please find the below job description and send me best quality profile asap *Title: DB2, DBA* *Location: Dublin - Ohio* *Duration:6+ months* *Rate: DOE* *Job Description:* · Key skills required for the job are: · DB2 Application Admin (Mandatory) · Performance Optimization and Tuning · DB2 Application DBA who has experience in the following areas: · Writing, Debugging, Analyzing, Breaking Down SQL Queries - needs to be experienced at SQL and has in-depth knowledge of Join Types/Cardinality/â¿¿ · Can read Explains Plans and analyze the path query optimizer has chosen · Experienced with DB2 snapshots, internal table functions, new features of DB2 v10 · Desire to tune (Queries, System Parameters, Optimization Profiles, Database Statistics) · Experience with Linux (can read and analyze iostat, vmstat), understanding of networking and potential issues *Any of the following would be a plus:* · SAP knowledge and experience · knowledge of SQL Server (SSIS packages preferable) · background in Programming preferable · Splunk experience This job is primarily performance tuning and recommending changes that will impact performance. They have to be able to understand queries and can rewrite queries if needed. Being able to read code and understand what the developers are trying to do is beneficial. Must be self-motivated and have a desire to really dig in and analyze impact on performance.
