The primary responsibilities of this role will include capacity planning, database design , owning , tracking and resolving database related issues, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs and working with other team member to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems. • 5+ years of experience with Database Administration for MSSQL Server ( 2008 R2, 2012 or 2014 ). • Experience in Capacity planning ,database placement and database migration on consolidated servers. • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. • Experience in implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. • Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. • Some Experience with SSAS , SSRS and SSIS preferred. • Experience working with Windows server, clustering, disk configurations. • Good communication and documentation skills. • Mentoring team members.
