On 2002-02-27 18:57, fredt, our Lead Developer re-opened the Release Candidate Issues Forum at
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=98096 and posted the following: QUOTE The latest release candidate has been under development for the last 5 months. In recent months, the sheer volume of patches, and the necessity to fix as many reported bugs as it was possible, gradually turned what was supposed to be a minor point release into the major release. The new release has now been designated version 1.7.0 because of the introduction of support for the DEFAULT keyword in column definitions. Use of this feature will make a database file not readable by previous versions and as a result, we had to step up to minor version 7. The Release Candidate will be publicly available in a few days' time. All developers, contributors and users are invited to perform tests and report any bugs in the bug tracker. All code contributions to the Release Candidate should be made to the patch tracker. New unit tests, as well as patches are welcome. I envisage moving the code to CVS after the review cycle is complete. At that point, appropriate braches will be available on the CVS for the development of the next release. ENDQUOTE Followups, replies and informational posts can be made to the Release Candidate Issues Forum at the address above. I'll be monitoring the forum and the [hsqldb- ] maillists in the lead-up to the release. dedmike __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
