Ok, folks, ready for more hsqldb goodness? Fred Toussi has posted the following for the Team:
QUOTE 2002.03.24 HSQLDB 1.7.0 RC2 This Release Candidate has been tested with JDK 1.1.8, 1.3.0 and 1.4.0. A JAR file compiled with 1.3.0 is included in the /lib directory. Both the Ant (build.xml) and batch build methods are supported. The build scripts are all in the /build directory of the distribution. The new Ant script detects the JDK version that has been set up with the JAVA_HOME environment variable and compiles HSQLDB to run with that version of JVM. Also note that the JAR in the download is the output of "Ant jar" which excludes the test classes. You can now use "Ant jartest" to build a more inclusive JAR which contains the test classes as well. There are a number of small but important improvements in this version. The list of enhancements and updated list of SQL features can be found in the /doc directory. These lists are nearly complete but do not cover some of the more intricate changes. I will post regularly to the Release Candidate Discussion Forum and the hsql-developers mailing list with new information. I will reply to all inquiries and help requests made in the Release Candidate Discussion Forum, at http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=98096 or to the hsql-developers mailing list (Archive at: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=hsqldb-developers Subscribe page for hsqldb-developers at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/hsqldb-developers ). All bugs should be reported to the USUAL Bug Tracker at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=23316&atid=378131 and not to the Tracker with the title "Release Candidate" (this Tracker, as well as the Support Requests Tracker will be deprecated and removed, after we have relocated the data to the appropriate remaining Trackers, in our ongoing simplification and re-organization of the Project). Patches should be posted to the Patch Tracker at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=23316&atid=378133. Fred Toussi 'fredt' ENDQUOTE As you watch in the coming weeks, you'll see more and more changes to the Project, as we try to respond to past requests to streamline and simplify it. As always, massive goodwill and wonderment (if not outright awe) at the efforts and support of our user and developer communities and, especially, our friends at SourceForge.net. Thanks particularly to Jacob Moorman and the whole customer support team at Sourceforge.net!!! Come and get it ladies and gentlemen The download is at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hsqldb/hsqldb_1_7_0_RC2.zip dedmike _______________________________________________ hsqldb-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hsqldb-developers
