Hi Fred and all,

Melati 0.6.1 is available from http://www.melati.org/
This release is bundled with HSQLDB and Jetty to
make a lightweight, pure java webservices development
envronment, ie a tool and framework for developing database
driven websites.

In addition to HSQLDB Melati supports Postgresql, MySQL,
MSQLServer and Mckodb. This enables local development
using HSQLDB and Jetty whilst deploying on other setups
such as Jserv/Postgresql.
I would like to know what level of load an hsqldb database can take -
is it a replacement candidate for Postgresql?

Melati supports JSDK 2.0-2.3 and can work with either Velocity or Webmacro as
its templating engine.

A replica of the site, with working examples, can be downloaded as a WAR.
The code is high quality (written mostly by William Chesters) and Melati
has been in commercial use since early 2000 with no problems.

I have worked very hard to make the site and the system as easy to use and
understand as I can - I would very much appreciate your feedback on
useability.

Hope to see you on the Melati lists :)
cheers
timp
