I am pleased to announce the final release of HSQLDB version 1.7.0. I would like to thank all developers and contributors who supplied bug reports, patches and major new functionality. Bob Preston merits a special thank-you for his relentless efforts to finalise his contribution before he took up his new work commitments. Campbell contributed to quality assurance and documentation a lot more than the source credits can show.
Work has already begun on the next release. In the next few months, we will be discussing improvements to functionality, performance and adherence to standards while developing the codebase yet further.
