The latest CVS code in the hsqldb-dev module contains updates to query processing that disallow null columns from being joined together and allow better use of OUTER joins. There are also improvements in aggregate function support. All of these are aimed at better conformance to SQL standards.
These changes may have introduced new limitations or may expose non-standard use of SQL query results. Either way, we can improve any shortcomings by the time the next version is released.
