Thanks Hermann,

Are you saying that if we change the JDBC driver to report that it does
support SQL Core Grammer then it will work better. If that's the case why
not. We support a mix of SQL92 features, including some that are beyond
INTERMEDIATE level, so it is not far fetched for the driver to say it
conforms to Core Grammer.

yes, now I can connect with OOo, but still run in some new difficulties :-(

- Whats about to say in the jdbc-driver, that hsqldb supports
SQLCoreGrammar? because this OOo still use to check to use primary-keys.
So now it is impossible to create a new table with a primary-key with
the gui of OOo, and this is IMO very bad.
But it is impossible to integrate a hsqldb-specific Driver before
OOo2.0, and this will take some time.

So whats about to change this?
I think most users of hsqldb are Developers who know the functions and
integrate them in their own applications.

the other thing ist:
hsqldb is now the only OpenSource Db who supports Foreign-Keys and this
is really great for OOo.

and with some other problems I first have to look whether it comes from
OOo or from hsqldb :-)

regards
