1.7.2 was finally released earlier today and is available from the file
download page.

This is the result of a 21 month development cycle with many alpha and
candidate releases that have undergone extensive tests in the process.

In the next few months we will be updating the web site and preparing for
the next release cycle.

To speed up the development of the future versions, developers and users are
invited to extend our 'black box' test suite and improve coverage of all the
supported SQL and JDBC features.

In the next six months, we may release a new versions with small
enhancements to SQL support that do not impact the core and can be tested
and verified easily. Other developments which include improved transaction
isolation, alternative persistence schemes updatable result sets, etc., are
in the early stages of development. The first alpha version featuring these
developments is expected in a few months' time.
