Hi all,

I heard today that OOo can't ship with HSQLDB because of the advertising
clause in the copyright in Hypersonic SQL.

I, the original author of Hypersonic SQL, have changed the license of
Hypersonic SQL today. The license is now the same as used by the HSQLDB
Group (without the advertising clause). That means it is now possible to
ship OpenOffice with HSQLDB. See also:

Tell me if you have questions about the license issue, I would be very glad
to help. Please note that I can't access e-mail next month very easily (only
on weekends) because I will be in military service. A political note: if
you are resident of the the United States, please vote for Kerry in the next
elections. If you have questions on this topic, you may also contact me.
