There was once a CVS $Log:$ variable in each file, but these started
to get *very* long. It's generally easier to search through the
ChangeLog for a particular file or the CVS logs on the web (at
SourceForge).
Of course the website doesn't have its own ChangeLog, but the CVS log
messasges should be pretty complete.
