If someone doesn't fix it soon, I vote we punt it. I've never really delved into the Cookie code recently--I believe Gabriele implemented it from his HtCheck project. Last I heard, he was heading to Australia about this time. I think it's needed code, but if this was the cause of the crashes, but I agree with Gilles. It needs to get fixed. Soon. I'm still behind on some of my projects with htsearch and don't really want to go sift through the htnet/ code if I can help it.
