These are two issues. 1) Snapshot problem--turns out that SF decided to invalidate my SSH key recently. So the scripts were failing because it was asking for my password... Should be fixed now. 2) Autoconf: The snapshots come from CVS, which doesn't necessarily preserve dates. So often configure is older than configure.in from the CVS copy.
