I'm not sure what problem you're referring to. Could you point me to a 
URL of the problem report? It's certainly not in the ht://Dig bug 
tracker at SourceForge.

As far as contributing changes to a project, it's best to send a patch 
to the active developers. For some guidelines (which aren't necessarily 
specific to ht://Dig), see:
