Gilles, Your insight is muchly appreciated. Looking at where I am right now, I realize I was building a script with two competing goals and I had boxed myself into a corner (but was still swinging!) I was originally trying to enhance rundig.3.2.sh so that it could update a database in-place (which it currently does) as well as update a database in a separate build directory. So I was juggling the "*.work" files and having databases in separate directories (thus the htfuzzy problems). I agree that adding a "-D" flag (or whatever) will be very useful. For now, my script will depend on two different config files (a build config and a search config). Thank you, greg_fenton. ===== Greg Fenton [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
