For anyone interested, patches bringing most htdig/*
files in 3.2.0b4 up to date with 3.1.6 are at
<http://www.ee.mu.oz.au/staff/lha/patch.forward-htdig>,
and
<http://www.ee.mu.oz.au/staff/lha/htdig-3.1.6-3.2-ports>
has been updated accordingly.
Although these pass the "make check" test (could someone
please "chmod a+x test/t_url" in cvs?), they haven't been
tested thoroughly yet. This post is largely to ask the
question below, and stop others from duplicating the work.
Once again, I have some queries for anyone who knows...
- 3.1.6 had a "dn.Release()" and "kw.Release()" in the
block around line 400-420. Am I correct in thinking that
is a memory leak?
- What documentation do you want for startyear et al. in
defaults.cc? I've added a bit to the description in
hts_form.html, which seems the best place for a full
description. It is hyperlinked from defaults.cc.
- On a related note, should an unspecified {start,end}year
default to "this year or last year (depending on the
date)" rather than to 1970 or endoftime?
