I have downloaded (using CVS) ht://Dig 3.2.0b5. I have
compiled and installed it successfully, using:

./configure --enable-tests
--prefix=/home/codeman/.gnome-desktop/IR/htdig/tutorialTest/htInstall/
make
make install

I then set the following environment variables:

PATH=$PATH:/home/codeman/.gnome-desktop/IR/htdig/tutorialTest/htInstall/bin/
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/codeman/.gnome-desktop/IR/htdig/tutorialTest/htInstall/lib/htdig

I created the following htdig.conf file:

database_dir: db/
database_base: test
start_url: http://www.cs.aue.auc.dk/~vok
template_name: builtin-long
template_map: builtin-long

When executing rundig -v -c htdig.conf I get the
following output:

...............

DB2 problem...: DB->get: method meaningless before
open
DB2 problem...: DB->get: method meaningless before
open
DB2 problem...: DB->get: method meaningless before

...............

Removing the first line in htdig.conf solves the
problem.

I realize that the first line properly should not be
there, but I do not think the error is proper.

Note that between each execution of rundig, I removed
the old install files and installed new owns.
Furtermore, I removed the database files created.

If rundig has run without errors once it will do it
again (if I do not reinstall ht://Dig), regardless of
whether the first line is present in htdig.conf.

Greetings,

Mads
