Sure looks like database corruption to me. You should probably
reindex from scratch. If the problem returns while indexing from
scratch, it may be a platform-dependent bug that's causing this,
in which case you should provide details about this platform (cpu,
OS version, htdig version, etc.).

If you want to get rid of the original URLs in a database, and index
only new ones, you really need to reindex from scratch.
