Regular expressions (and thus, wildcards) are not supported in
searches or things like the restrict and exclude fields. In general,
filenames are not indexed, though htdig will index the text of a link
itself, so for automatically-generated directory indexes, the filename
will end up indexed.
The db.wordlist file only has the words that were indexed, a DocID, etc.
If you want to see the URLs indexed, the easiest way is to add the -v flag
to htdig, which will present a nice "progress" listing.
If you wish to see if a file is indexed, you can search for a word that
you know is in the file itself.
As a general comment, you can avoid sending "a million" e-mails by not
replying instantly (or several times on the same subject).
