I'm installing htdig on a BSDI server with gcc 2.7.2.1 installed.

The compile goes fine, but when I try to run the 'rundig' script I
receive a segmentation fault.

I've determined that it's 'htfuzzy' that creates the segmentation fault
since running any other app will succeed without error.

The question is, what might cause this, and is there a way to bypass
htfuzzy, or is it the main search component called by htsearch for
htdig?

A few things. The site has the cgi-bin directory named as 'cgibin' and
it's located above the base html directory. Could this be an issue? If
so, how should I address this problem?

Next, accessing 'htsearch' creates a 500 server error (I,
unfortunately, cannot get to the site error logs). Might the error be
related to the htfuzzy or a possible 'cgi-bin' path problem (I assume
one or the other, or both)?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...
