I had the problem to install htDig with Solaris 8 at SUN 220R server before.
I did a new installation. But still have problem.
1. during ./configure, the error message show:
checking for a BSD compatible install... ./install-sh -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... missing
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... missing
checking for working makeinfo... missing
configuring ht://Dig version 3.1.5
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
2. I did "find / -name cc -print, find /usr/ucb/cc
I set
PATH=$HOME:/usr/bin:/usr/ucb:/etc:/usr/share/lib:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/xpg4/bin:.
export PATH
3. It still does not work.

Can I talked to someone tomorrow? because I am running a deadline in two
days to set this up to work. Thanks,

Edwin
