Please read the FAQ: q 1.5 and q 1.16: <http://www.htdig.org/FAQ.html#q1.5> <http://www.htdig.org/FAQ.html#q1.16> > My problem, is that when I enter search strings with non-alphanumeric > characters like "." or "/", they get removed when the search query > actually takes place. So, if I search for "test.com" it becomes > "testcom". Is there a parameter in the configuration file where I can > modify this behavior? Gilles answered your question--you have to remove the characters from valid_punctuation and add them to the extra_word_characters. (And you'll have to reindex.) On the other hand, the searching is consistent with the indexing, so unless you think you have a lot of "testcom" words, then a search for test.com will find the same pages that had it originally. -- -Geoff Hutchison Williams Students Online http://wso.williams.edu/ _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html
