I'm not sure what is giving you the line about reindexing
weekly--assumedly this is done by your ISP.
Indexing is done when it is called. So if you have a cron job doing the
indexing, it will be done as frequent as the cron entry specifies. This
could be monthly, weekly, hourly, etc.
If you don't know how to change the crontab specification, "man cron" or
"man crontab" usually will have details for you.
