Help!
I have ftp'd the file htdig-3.1.5.tar.gz and when I do:
% gunzip -c htdig-3.1.5.tar.gz | tar xf -
I get the following message:
tar: directory checksum error
A directory "/htdig-3.1.5" is created but has no files and only one
subdirectory, "/contrib" there. There is no "configure" file or "CONFIG"
file.
I've tried ftp'ing from various locations, and still get the same error.
When I try using:
% tar xzf htdig-3.1.5.tar.gz
I get a message which says
tar: z: unknown option
Can you help me get started? I've actually installed and used htDig on
another system and love it (back in the ver 3.1.3 days).
