Hi, folks. I've noticed we get a lot of requests on this mailing list
for help with HTML coding, rather than htdig/htsearch specific questions.
E.g., we get questions about how to use <link> tags, robot tags, and
other tags for getting info into htdig, as well as questions about how
to put together a search form with select lists, radio buttons or other
input tags, and so on.

For my own use, I've found these documents useful:

    http://www.utoronto.ca/webdocs/HTMLdocs/NewHTML/htmlindex.html
                Introduction to HTML

    http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Internet/WWW/HTMLPrimer.html
                NCSA Beginner's Guide to HTML

    http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/
                W3C HTML Home Page

I'd like to put together an FAQ entry about this, but I thought I should
throw out the question to other htdig users. What HTML references or
introductions have you found useful? I'd like to cover both ends of the
spectrum if possible, from the most basic, user-friendly primer to the
most complete and definitive reference. What do you think is the best?

By the way, I also like to point users enamoured with "cool tricks"
like pull-down menus and JavaScript to sites like:

    http://www.useit.com/
Jakob Nielsen's site on Usable Information Technology
        (which includes the classic:
