Are you sure these timings are reproducible? Remember that most OSes
(various distributions of Linux included) have careful file caches, so
second accesses to the databases are faster than the first.
To get careful benchmarking it also helps to know if you're running any
other "major" processes on the machine (e.g. a webserver).
