This is a weird problem I encountered today. If you run a search like "a b c
d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z" in htsearch, it gets really,
really big. It got about 3 times the size of the database files, which means
something funny is happening. Of course, it ran out of memory eventually and
died.
Is this a bug, is it fixed in the newer versions, or am I on my own on this?
I am running ht://dig 3.2.0b3 on Red Hat 7.0, from Apache 1.3.19 with
mod_perl. (The htsearch program was actually executed from inside a perl
script.) Apache is compiled without expat, if that is important, I do not
know.
