Yes, this is a good suggestion. I thought I had put a note in the 3.2
documentation about this, but I can't find it now. The tricky part of
this is it doesn't affect all systems, only those with a locale-aware
atof() function.
Incidentally, for anyone running into this problem in 3.1.5, you must also
apply the accents.5 patch to fix the handling of the search_algorithm
attribute so that the comma will be allowed in numbers.
