How does htmerge dtermined whether or not a document has changed
since the last run?

local_urls? I haven't heard of that. I'm guessing this is where htdig is
running on the same box as the web server. If so, that applies to my
situation. At present, I'm running via http. What should I look for in
order to use local_urls?
Thank you. I already use htdig for indexing a mailing list archive at
http://www.unixathome.org/adsl/. Using incremental should
dramatically improve things. In fact, messages are added to the archive
as they arrive from the mailing list. I should be able to update the index
dynamically as well.
This is sounding so promising, I'm going to use it for
http://freebsddiary.org/ where articles are updated all the time and
dynamic content in the form of user feedback is sure to occur sometime
soon.
thank you. very helpful.
