So, you want to be able to search for bold text, for example, or for text
of a particular size or face?

Well, htdig isn't capable of doing this right now, so it would have to
be modified to do this. htdig is capable of distinguishing between
words in titles, link descriptions, meta keywords, or ordinary text,
but that's about the extent of it right now. If you want to modify
the code to do this, you'd be better off starting with the latest 3.2.0
beta or development snapshot, as it's a little closer to what you want,
in that it does keep track of flags for each word in the database,
indicating the context of it and scoring on the fly in htsearch based
on your factor settings. You'd need to add new flags to this, and add
code in htdig (specifically HTML.cc) to assign different flag values to
different attribute settings which you've parsed. Finally, you'd need
to add new factor attributes to assign different weights to these flag
values in htsearch.
