There are a couple things you can do.  First of all, look for words in
documents that you think should have been indexed, and try searching for
these words one by one.  If htsearch doesn't find them, it would seem that
they're missing from the database.

The other thing you can do is run "htdump" to get an ASCII dump of your
whole database, then look at which URLs are there and which aren't.
