You have to look harder. The actual usage of the attribute is a one-liner
in the README. The rest of the example is a collection of SSI HTML files
and templates that represent an instance where this attribute is needed.

I tried a couple searches without any problems. The page buttons do seem
to work correctly, which I think was the main concern discussed here. I
have no PHP experience, though, so I won't bother examining and commenting
on your code.
