Well, title sorting works in 3.1.5, but if you'd rather stick to the 3.2
betas, I'd suggest you use this snapshot:  htdig-3.2.0b4-061701.tar.gz

It is hardcoded, but only as the compiled-in default for the page_list_header
attribute.  You can easily override it in htdig.conf:

page_list_header:       <hr noshade size="2">Seiten:<br>
