I'm pretty sure this has been done already! The file
http://www.htdig.org/files/binaries/htdig315_nt.zip
contains pdfinfo.exe & pdftotext.exe, which can be used with conv_doc.pl
or doc2html.pl on Windows, if you have Perl installed.
