I'm getting "no server running" errors when indexing my intranet (htdig
and server - Apache running on same machine)
I've tried setting server_wait_time to various times and apart from
waiting longer for the error it still occurs.
I've tweaked apache to make it run as fast as it can, but still get
errors.
I searched the site archives and saw email references to some changes
that could be made to htdig source, but found incomplete information.
Can anyone shed light on why this might occur and how to get round it?
it seems to be related to number of documents indexed, but not every
time. - e.g. indexing 100 documents is fine. indexing 600plus seems to
cause a failure, and reindexing immediately the error occurs sooner
(less than 100)
Thanks
Configuration:
htdig-3.1.5 on Win2k built using cygwin latest.
