hi there!
please excuse me if this is an absolute dumb question but:
we tried to get htdig running on mac os x client,
using the instructions for os x server found here
(http://www.stepwise.com/Articles/Workbench/2000-02-26.01.html).
we changed the path to /Library/WebServer/htdig, as there is no
/Local on os x client..
i guess there went something wrong with "make", as when i did "make
install" i got the following error message:
[xit:WebServer/build-htdig-3.1.5-macosxs/htdig-3.1.5] root# make install
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
c++ -c -DDEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE=\"/Library/WebServer/htdig/conf/htdig.conf\"
-I../htlib -I../
htcommon -I../db/dist -I../include -g -O2 String.cc
String.cc:14: stream.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [String.o] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1
i`m an absolute newbie on unix and don`t have the slightest idea what
to make of this.
could it be that it`s simply impossible to get htdig to run on os x
client or are we just to stoopid to get the point?
is there anybody who runs htdig on os x client?
TIA,
nina
ps: we were able to run htdig on os x server, but we used the package
that comes with tenons itools for this. but it didn`t work on
client...
