According to Bongers, D.M.: > I am relatively new user of htdig software, and want to use the synonym > database of htdig. If you add words to the list, say: > > organisation organization > > If a search for organisation, will this result in: search for 'organisation' > => search for 'organisation' or 'organization'? > > Does it also work visa versa? (search for 'organization' => search for > 'organisation' or 'organization')
Wouldn't it be quicker and easy to actually try it out in htsearch rather than e-mailing the list and waiting a day or two for a reply? All synonyms defined on a single line are treated as equivalent, so using any one of them should pull all the other ones as fuzzy matches. > Or should I add a second line: > organization organisation No, words should only be defined once. If a word appears on more than one line, all equivalences for that word will be lost except for the last line on which it occurs. -- Gilles R.
