Remember that the documentation on the *website* is for the most recent production version (here 3.1.5). The documentation for your particular version is always found in the htdoc/ subdirectory in a given distribution. The "authorization" attribute was added in version 3.1.4. I'd suggest upgrading to the most recent pre-release snapshot of 3.1.6 ASAP--it will fix many bugs as well as two significant security holes since version 3.1.2.
