Hello! I am new to htdig. I have couple of questions. I hope someone has suggestions. I checkd the archives and documentation but no luck. Thanks in advance!
I installed and configured htdig on my machine with Apache. I have two following REALMS (or cgi-bin directories, not sure what the difference is) in Apache config. It asks to authenticate when accessing those directories. Directories in question are: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/test/auth /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin My problem is when I try to search, it calls http://server.com/cgi-bin/htsearch This (I assume) throws of a authentication dialog box before displaying result. I DO NOT want that dialog box. And I guess I have to have htsearch program in cgi-bin? Also, it will not index /usr/local/apache/htdocs/test/auth directory. I would like htdig to index it and display the link to it in search results. So when a user click the link, it will ask to authenticate. How can I tell htdig to index those directories that are specified as REALM in Apache config?
