Hello,

I'm not sure if this has already been asked or not, but here goes anyway.

I have a company site that is starting to embrace a lot of Cold Fusion based
pages. I'm not talking about the truly dynamic sort of database query
pages,
although there are going to be lots of them as well. What I am principally
referring to herein is the use of Cold Fusion templates, the <cfinclude>
tags,
and so forth.

If I replace any given page in any given collection (eg, index.html) with a
CF
equivalent "index.cfm" page, AND this CF page has standard header and footer
files included (via the <cfinclude template="whatever.cfm"> tag, I am left
to
ponder several questions.

Will Ht://Dig still continue to index everything correctly?
Is there any way to continue to use HTML META tags to some meaningful
purpose?
And what about the Ht://Dig unique tags, such as the e-mail notification
tags, etc?
Can anyone suggest an appropriate page structure to take ample advantage of
both
the CF and Ht://Dig capabilities?
Anyone else out there dealing with this same issue who would care to discuss
some
of the possibilities/options offline (apart from this list)?

I don't want to go into too much detail here for fear of having too much to
deal with
in this list. Feel free to contact me directly if you have anything
meaningful to
contribute to this issue.

Thanks for listening,

Jim Augeri
