Just have to throw in my two cents worth!  I downloaded the 3.1.6.tar.gz and
placed it on my web server.  After un-Tarring-Zipping or whatever it's
called, I ran the configure, then modified the CONFIG file for my system
specs, ran the make and the make install.  Finally, I switched to the
htdig/bin directory and ran the rundig script and voila - worked perfectly
the first time.  Also, it worked faster and the search pages worked faster.
I am impressed guys, good job at not breaking it.

If you are wondering whether or not to upgrade, it is simple, painless and a
real joy to see in action.  I will hover around to help out anyone with
questions (sorry, I am still just learning linux myself).  Anyway, I am
pleased and just wanted to pass on thanks for a job well done.
