According to Denis Giffeler: > the delemiter of words in synonym lists is the blank-character. > how do I encode synonyms with blanks in it? is there a special > character like '+' oder the blank entity ' '?
No, you can't embed blanks in synonyms. There's no support for making a single word a synonym for a phrase. The synonyms fuzzy algorithm only supports single words, such that each individual word on a line in the synonyms file is equivalent to all other individual words on the same line. > is htfuzzy perfoming the permutations of words in the synonym list by itself? Yes, when you run "htfuzzy synonyms", it reads the synonyms file and creates multiple database entries for each line in the file. E.g., the line cesarean caesarean cesarian would yield the following entries in the synonyms.db database: Key Data cesarean -> "caesarean cesarian" caesarean -> "cesarean cesarian" cesarian -> "cesarean caesarean" So, when htsearch gets any one of those words in a search query, it will use it as a key into the database to find the other equivalent words. -- Gilles R.
